Quest for Paradise

Book Review No. 7 -

Book Name - Quest for paradise
Author - Shuchi Prasad
Publications- Notion Press
Pages- 114

The Story Unfolds :

Main Characters -

1) Ishana -  A Passionate Tattoo Artist.
2) Vaishakh Arora - An Investment banker
3) Imran - Owner of the Tattoo studio

Ishana, an aspiring tattoo artist, has to cope with all the people around her to gain what she truly desires. Quest for paradise is a story about love and struggling to vanquish everything in its way, whether its people, social stigmas or an unprecedented catastrophe.
This book revolves around 'Ishana' and her struggle to achieve her "quest for paradise". Story about love, struggle, tragic past, stigmas, floods and dream.

My Review -

This book shares Ishana's life, how her life changes when she meets Vaishakh Arora an investment banker. Initially she didn't liked him, but slowly and gradually she started liking him. Both have one thing in common - Their tragic past, which still haunts them.
Ishana has been molested by her uncle during her childhood days, even after knowing this their parents dint took any action. Her father was diagnosed with epilepsy, so there was no one to fund the house. On the other hand Vaishakh lost his mother at a young age.
They met at a tattoo studio in Mumbai and their life changes from there. How their life takes a U-turn when the Mumbai floods occured. This story can bring back the July, 2005 Mumbai floods memories. What happens in the end ? Do this 2 souls ever meet again ? Do they get their quest for paradise ?

Apart from this, some of the questions which triggerd my mind was :

1) Can parents cannot change their thinking in this fast changing and digital world ?
2) How to make a bridge between personal and professional life ?
3) Does child molestation by own relatives and that too with the parents knowledge does not have a answer ?
4) Can a stranger can turn into a life saviour ?

What i liked -

1) Narration, it took only 100 pages to depict the whole story.
2) Use of images.
3) Characterization of male and female characters.

Dislike -

1) Just one thing, some inaccurate information regarding public transport of Mumbai.

As a Debutant author, Shuchi touches hearts with her mesmerizing and emotional story. She is one to look out for the future.

My rating- 3.5/5
Book cover - 3.5/5
Plot- 3.5/5
Characterization - 4/5
